PS3 Sale Price

Searching for a PS3 on sale can be a daunting task. It seems that the demand is high enough that most stores don’t run sales or when they do it’s not much of a discount. It can sometimes be frustrating if you’re on a tight budget.

I’m right there with you! I have tried to justify the item in so many ways for so long. I figured I could sell all my old PS2 games and console and start building a PS3 fund. I’ve even thought about my old jeans in the closet, the ones with holes in them and seem all fashionable and seeing what I could sell them for on eBay. I’ve even gone through my garage looking for tools that I don’t use to sell them online. We even had a yard sale so I could try to earn enough money to buy the PS3. It was hard to justify the time spent after I counted my till and it came up to just over $50. By the way, garage sales will not get you the most money! eBay is a much better way to go as you’ll net more profits.

I’ve been there before. There really is no comparison with other gaming consoles. I was sold when I found it was Blu-Ray. Not only are all the games HD but now my movies are too. Good luck getting that point past the wife! Honestly, once we got HD and my wife watched it a few times we really only watch HD shows or movies. In the end it wasn’t that difficult to get her on my side for the PS3 purchase except when it came to the price.

I’ve done some research and what I’ve found is that if you want the best gaming console on the market and you want to play Blu-Ray DVDs there simply isn’t a better value than the PS3. Even when it’s not on sale! You can buy a Blu-Ray DVD player for your movies but it will not play PS3 games. Unfortunately for Microsoft, HD-DVD was not the chosen format going forward and this will ultimately hurt their sales. Still, the challenge is getting a PS3 at a discount if at all possible.

I searched on eBay and some other traditional auction sites and found that there really aren’t any PS3 Sale Prices out there. The value may be there but the overall cost is higher because of all the stuff they include. When I’m trying to spend as little money as possible this just doesn’t work for me.

In the end I had to get outside the box. I began looking into unique bid auction sites. There are a few decent ones out there but the one that stands out to me is www.auctions4acause.com. The selection they have for affordable items is far superior to the other sites. The majority of the other sites like it zero in on really expensive things like cars, land and motorcycles. That’s fine and dandy but I just want the console!

I knew I had a winner when I found that site. Two thumbs up as they had the exact item I wanted and I could get it for cheap. I quickly setup an account on the site. I placed 3 bids and hoped that they were unique and the lowest. Alas, I didn’t win the first time around. It was another week before I could bid on another one. I bid 3 or 4 more times, said my prayers and waited. Bingo! I won this time. 7 days later I was playing Hot Shots Golf on my new PS3. At the end I had dropped less than $60.64. Pretty darn good, huh?

It can take a few minutes of reading to truly grasp the concept of the lowest unique bid auction style. After you grasp the idea you could become addicted. Since that time that I won the PS3 I’ve bid on and won 3 other items including an iPod Nano (they have the best iPod Prices) and $400 gas card. In total I’ve spent about $350 there and won over $1,200 worth of stuff.

If you’re looking for the best prices don’t bother with the Best Buys or Walmarts. Go register at Auctions4aCause and get a great deal.
