Mountain bikers take their sport just as seriously as any other athlete would. Therefore, they are constantly upgrading their equipment, which in this case is their mountain bike. They may have started out with a used mountain bike themselves and then upgraded to a new one. Now having some experience they may be ready to move on a purchase a more advanced model. Having no more use for the basic model they are prepared to sell it. Usually they will ask a reasonable price for it depending on what shape its in and its use.  If you’re really lucky you may pick up what you consider to be a very cheap mountain bike.

One must remember that its take a little bit of effort to ride a mountain bike.  In this case, you want to be as comfortable as possible. Make sure you can reach the pedals properly and the seat is the right size. If you are just starting to get into mountain bike riding the person who has the used mountain bike for sale will be able to advise you if it’s the right bike for you or not. Many are not concerned about losing a sale as there are plenty of mountain bike buyers available and it is just a matter of time. Eventually the right buyer will come along and will benefit on a great deal.
