Bathroom Design Tips for Smaller Bathrooms
Posted on April 10th, 2010 No commentsSmall bathrooms can certainly present more style and design challenges than a larger one, but with a little bit of organizing and ingenuity, anyone can make a small bathroom a pleasant and attractive room. Many older houses and apartments have bathrooms which are little larger than 6′ by 8′. This could be a real challenge, yet there are ways to work around such a confined space without ripping out walls.
One way to make your small bathroom look more substantial is by using light colorings to decorate it. Lighter shades reflect the light more and open up the room. Darker colorings will help to make the bathroom look even smaller than it is. It is also a good strategy to keep away from fussy styles on wallpaper or tiling. Keep to solids, and light, muted colors, solids are generally best.
When you are redesigning your small bathroom, maybe it is time to get rid of that old toilet. The majority of older toilets are generally much bigger than the modern-day, sleek styles available now. Having a smaller toilet, your bathroom will probably not only appear larger, it will actually have more space.
Older bathrooms frequently have inadequate lighting in them, and this will be all the more apparent in smaller bathrooms, where area is at a premium. It may well be time to add more lighting to your smaller bathroom and help the room become brighter and appear larger. Generally new lighting fixtures can be put in place of the old ones, making a rewiring unnecessary. Incorporating a few mirrors now, close to the new lights, can also help the room be more inviting. Do not add too many, however, the bathroom may then seem to be claustrophobic and confusing.
Very often the bathtub in a small bathroom is simply taking up too much room. Older bathtubs are usually much too large for a smaller area. Generally, it is not necessary to give up comfort when updating an old bathtub. While the new bath may not be as long as the old one, it can be deeper, and will provide just as pleasant a bath.
Changing your shower stall can often provide additional space in the small bathroom. Sliding doors on the shower or a shower screen can save space. Deciding on a clear shower door will help the bathroom to look larger as well as more open. A corner shower will save space and look good.
The next thing to look at will be your sink, or vanity. Once again, many of the older sinks were bigger in comparison with the ones on the market today. Pedestal sinks are now available that will take up much less space than the old ones did. You may also look into what are referred to as petite vanities or perhaps a wall-mounted sink. All of these will save some space and make the small bathroom seem larger than it is.
Besides the visual advantages to upgrading your small bathroom, it will also be a more comfortable, safer, and easier to use room than it was previously.

Outdoor Double Chaise Lounge
Posted on April 10th, 2010 No commentsI love to write about a variety of interesting topics. I do not have a favorite topic in mind, but I really enjoy writing about almost anything right now. At this time I am starting an online business. I have been known to write about credit cards, insurance, Spanish, English, Chinese, Japanese, French, Italian, German and other languages. I speak several different languages and currently I’m going to school to acquire a bachelors degree.
When I’m done with school. I will continue to do SEO work and write articles. I enjoy, writing articles, because I’m able to learn more about the topics that I’m not very familiar with. Of course, I have to learn about the topics first and I do much of my research on the internet. I am then able to write about what I have learned on that topic. For example, if I am learning or if I am going to write an article about a topic, I first go online and I research that topic. Sometimes it only takes me a few minutes when I am somewhat familiar with the topic already. It depends to a great exent, on how familiar I am with the topic. Sometimes it might take me an hour or more to learn about the topic. Either way, I am continuing my education.
I look at all kinds of sites. I like to look at sites like yahoo answers, Google News, Yahoo news, CNN, Fox news, press releases and other reference materials. Anyway, after I have researched the topic well and that I can write something from off the top of my head. To give you an example this time I will write about www.OutdoorDoubleChaiseLounge.Net. I write this is down on my computer and I begin typing. I’d like to type out then run through it once again to make sure it flows nicely and check for grammatical errors. In the article I will be sure to include useful information to readers, Outdoor Double Chaise Lounge . After that I’m done.
I then set the article aside and maybe wait a few hours, sometimes the day and I’ll get back to it later with fresh eyes and a good night’s sleep, and I’ll see the article, and again review it for any errors or any changes needed. I like to see if it might sound better if it were put in other words, sometimes more precise and condensed. Then I’m ready to publish what I wrote, so I find the place where I want to publish it, and I submit the article. The article is then reviewed. It is usually accepted and I can go on in the next topic of choice. After the readers have the information, with useful references, then they can make a smart choice.”
