• Richard Dean Anderson is MacGyver

MacGyver is a show that ran for about 7 seasons. The star of the show was Richard Dean Anderson. Let us be serious he was the man. With duct tape and his Swiss army knife he could make or fix anything or solve any problem. He is the ultimate problem solver. He is sort of like a secret agent or something like that. The show was on ABC. He is intelligent, optimistic, and pretty laid back. The thing that sets him apart for me is that he refuses to use a gun. He primarily works with Peter Thornton and the Phoenix foundation. His full name for the series was Angus MacGyver but he mostly went by MacGyver or Mac. He is always able to improvise and make anything he needed out of house hold items usually in life or death situations. Many of the episodes started out with MacGyver already on a mission at the beginning. Throughout the 7 seasons the show was filmed in California and Canada. Back to Pete he is his boss and his best friend. One of his main talents or skills is his scientific knowledge and his ability to use common items very inventively. The show usually revolved around him helping someone and a lot of times he was going to go get his buddy Pete out of a jam or difficult situation. And of course there was his classic nemesis Murdock a master of disguise. Murdock never dies and always seemed to pop up when least expected.

  • It’s Possible To Visit Some Of The Most Popular Animated Movie Stars On A Southern California Vacation

In recent months I’ve had the chance to go to most of the seven major theme parks in So Cal. One thing I found is that you can enter into the world of many favorite animated cartoon characters if you enjoy that sort of thing.

The first place we think of is Disneyland, the hangout for Mickey, Donald and all their buddies. There are a few really good websites with helpful information about planning a Disneyland vacation. Disney has no-doubt done the most effective job of bringing imaginary characters to life, much to the delight of us all.

Nearby Knott’s Berry Farm has its own crew of lovable characters with Lucy, Snoopy and the Peanuts team at Camp Snoopy. The Peanuts guys have been at Knott’s Berry Farm for quite awhile now and seem to feel at home there.

Universal Studios up in Hollywood would be a good next stop in your vacation, where you can chill with the likes of Homer Simpson, the Flintstones and Rubbles, Betty Boop and Spiderman. Pick up some useful information and tips about Universal Studios from the SoCal Vacation Guru.

The third park to visit for characters would be Six Flags Magic Mountain up in Valencia. The features that set this park apart from many others are the Six Flags roller coasters and thrill rides. It does not take long to figure out that the Looney Tunes people are in charge of public relations.

You will find Yosemite Sam, Daffy Duck, Sylvester and the Roadrunner, some of whom hang out with the guests. The childrens’ area has attractions centered around these whacky celebrities, which is a nice break from the thrill rides that dominate the place. It is fun for kids and adults alike to meet these well-behaved celebrities, and you can find them at various spots on the Mountain.

  • Wireless Dog Fence Can Save You Money and Time

Wireless fence can give much benefit to the dog owner. Have you ever wanted to keep your dog with you, without using a fence? Does your dog have a problem with digging under your current fence? Do you enjoy traveling with your dog? Would you like to own an underground dog fence, but don’t have time to spend on installation? Do you have certain areas in your home which you would like to be off limits to your dog? If your answer to any of these questions is “yes,” you may want to consider the advantages of a wireless dog fence.

Invisible dog fence is becoming very popular nowadays. Purchasing a wireless dog fence is a good option for budget conscious dog owners who need an effective solution to a nearly universal dog owner problem. Do you want your dog to be safely contained but to be able to exercise too? This is the thing for you! A wireless dog fence is safe for your dog, doesn’t put you into danger of bankruptcy, and doesn’t take but a few minutes to install. You can’t see it and no one knows it’s there except you and your dog.

Some wireless dog fences are also available for use inside the home as well as outside, giving you the ability to allow your dog some freedom inside your home while still controlling his boundaries. And because they are easily portable, traveling is a cinch when you use wireless dog fence! If physical fencing doesn’t keep your dog in, adding a static correction will keep them from even challenging the physical fence. With training, your dog will learn that the fence boundary itself is to be respected because the wireless dog fence can be set up within it.

When choosing a wireless dog fence for your dog, keep in mind a few important details. We always recommend that you purchase your system from a reputable manufacturer with a good warranty, for peace of mind right from the start. Examples include Petsafe, Innotek, and Perimeter. Your transmitter needs to be appropriate for your dog’s weight. Another transmitter may be better than one if you need a larger area. A wireless dog fence may not be the right choice for you if your yard is sloped. And you should definitely choose a model that has adjustable correction levels, so that you can personalize the training program for your particular dog.

Once you have purchased and have your wireless dog fence in hand, it should only take a few minutes to install using the instruction manual which will be included. You will place the transmitter either within your home, or possibly in your garage. The transmitter does need to be kept out of the rain. You can then place the wireless dog fence collar on your dog and begin training him; do not neglect this essential part of the process.

Some dogs may take longer than others to learn the boundaries, but the average is a few weeks. Consistency and persistence in training will pay off. You should always supervise your dog for the initial period after the installation of your wireless dog fence. Flags would be a good idea to show your pup where he’s supposed to be. Keep him on a leash at first, and set the correction level on his collar to the minimal level. Then follow him on the leash, allowing him to explore until he reaches the boundary and receives a mild shock. This shock is very humane and is not designed to harm your dog, but just to get his attention. It is similar to the shock you receive from the carpet when you rub your feet on it. Once your dog receives the correction, pull him back from the boundary and praise him.

You can also give treats at first to reinforce your training. Your dog may learn to respect the boundary within one or two times, or it may take a bit longer for him to understand. He will eventually learn, however, and then you will be able to remove the leash. Keep an eye on him until you know that he will stay in the fence. The method for training a dog to an radio fence is very similar.

Wireless dog fence is a great new thing today, and is good for dog owners as an affordable fence for their dog. While there is possibly no perfect solution to keeping our dogs safe and contained, today’s inventions such as the wireless dog fence are coming very close!
