Looking for draft cheap return flights to Crete, it is best to book a flight in the summer time. By early October the price starts to climb because the number of flights is reduced since the tourist season is over. If you are returning home to Crete, then not only a stopover in Athens has to occur, but a price increase also.

Crete is like most Northern hemisphere countries. When the weather starts to drop, the tourists go home. The yearly holiday travel time is over and it is time to work for a living. The charter flights from the UK and other parts of Europe are done for the season and only the regularly scheduled flights are occurring.

Weekend travel is recommended for the lowest possible price. If you must travel during the week, then get a standby ticket for a chance at a low fare. Last minute purchases are possible just to fill in empty seats. Aegean Airlines can have an opening at the last minute or one day away for 271 British pounds from London to Crete.

From Athens to Crete the price difference is large between the 2 major airlines that go there. Aegean Airlines has dependable service and regular flights that are close to being on time with a price of 173 British pounds. The second major carrier is Olympic with a fare of only 90 British pounds. There are 4 seats available on 6 different flights as of this writing, for the seat with one day’s notice.

To draft cheap return flights to Crete at the last moment does take timing and they are not always available but you can save money when they are.

  • How Important Are Proper Cholesterol Levels?

Posted on December 29th, 2009 Mark No comments

Not long ago, our family doctor discovered that I had extremely high cholesterol levels. I didn’t know a lot about cholesterol, but, once he explained how dangerous this condition was, I decided that I had better learn all I could. Since then, I have gotten my cholesterol level under control and become somewhat of a layman expert in the process. Now, I’d like to use this small space to explain why getting control of your cholesterol levels is so important. Perhaps you will also understand why limiting, or eliminating, high cholesterol foods is vital.

Our bodies require cholesterol for a number of things. You cells use it like mortar to bind them together to make tissue. It’s also made into a bile acid and used for digestion.

You make most of the cholesterol your body requires in your liver. From there, it is carried by an enzyme called low density lipoproteins, or LDL, to your cells. Cells that have enough cholesterol when the LDL shows up will just say “No, Thanks” and send the enzyme on it’s way.

Problems arise when the LDL has cholesterol left over at the end of it’s trip. The extra cholesterol is deposited on the inner wall of an artery by the LDL. Over time, these deposits can restrict blood flow in the artery and “starve” the tissue that is downstream. Most heart attacks and strokes are the result of a loss of blood to the heart and brain.

I understand that this article is very basic. I only wish to get you thinking about your own cholesterol levels.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This information is based on information freely available in the national press and medical journals that deal with high cholesterol levels.
