• Portugals Algarve – The Holiday Heaven

Posted on September 15th, 2009 Mark No comments

For some time now Portugal has been the understated chique of Vacation Holiday Accommodation in the Algarve ! and although many holiday visitors have heard of the airport Faro, its not that well known of where the airport actually is located !

The country of Portugal has a rich history and stretches in length almost all the way down the west side of Spain. Not directly classified as being on the Mediteranean the Southern end of Portugal known as The Algarve does enjoy the warm sunshine renowned for the southern parts of Europe and the Mediteranean.

As such, the whole area is one vast devlopment of luxury apartment complexes, gated villa resorts and lovely townhouses that many Europeans have been quietly buying as holiday homes for the past 20 years.   Compared to the Spannish Mediteranean resorts, Portugal remains to its routes in style and countryside besides some notorious developments such as Villamoura which cater to the jet set lifestyle of the rich and famous.

The private pools usually found within the holiday resorts and private villa locations tend to be on the larger side as compared to Spain, and the number of top quality Golf Courses squeezed along the Algarve certainly gives Spain a run for its money too !  With the ocean providing a better  atmospheric condition throughout the year than Spain, the golfing tends to be enjoyed around the year to its full as the Algarve tends to have less rainfall during the year compared to places like Marbella Spain.

If its sailing that you are after… beware, firstly the coastal waters are not calm like the Mediteranean. . . as such, navigating the ocean is a totally different excercise and therefor carries a different set of requirements for renting sail boats or charters !

If you plan on taking a sailing course in Portugal . . then you will need to be able to speak Portugese as well as write it, as the ecxamination papers are in Portugese and the examiners refuse to speak any other language.

Without a Portugese Sailing Licence nobody will let you charter / hire a boat either !  so my advice is for all those sailors looking to try out the great sailing off the coast of the Algarve – better to go find a beautiful Apartment Rental in Tenerife or go USA and enjoy the oceans over there instead !

  • Why All The Hype About The iPhone?

Posted on September 15th, 2009 Mark No comments

Although the Apple i Phone is one of the most popular, best selling phones out there today, there is the fact that there are still some people who are not aware of the iPhone, what it is and all it has to offer. The iPhone is really an incredible phone, a device that has a lot to offer you. Before you go ahead and purchase the iPhone of course, you are going to want to make sure that you know what it involves and can therefore make the decision as to whether or not this is going to be the right phone for you.

After all, it is a fantastic phone one that has a lot of hype around it, but then at the same time, there are so many features on this phone that are not necessarily going to be useful to some people.

    What it is

This Apple i Phone is an integrated cellular phone and media player that was developed by the Apple Company, and it combines the main functions of the most popular electronic gadgets out there today. Not simply is this phone a cellular telephone but in addition it is a music and video player, digital camera, PDA, and an Internet communications collection.

It is truly amazing just how many different features this phone has to offer the user and it runs Apple’s OS-X operating system.

    Features

The Apple i Phone has a lot of really great features. One of the features that it is best known for is its touch screen. This allows the customer to more easily get into their contacts, tools, call history, and other information on their phone. It also allows for better interactivity which is something that all users are looking for with their cell phone.

Another of the best features of the iPhone is that there are so many different applications that you can get to go along with the iPhone. Take the Google Reader for one, which allows you to scan through the headlines on Google, just as you would if you were on your home PC. After that there is the iPhone Chat, which is an application that allows you to log into AIM, view your contacts, and handle tabbed chats too.

The iPhone has much more to offer as well, and if it sounds like the type of phone that you would be interested in, then you are going to want to talk to a cellular phone retailer or your phone carrier company.

  • Acne Scar Removal

Posted on September 15th, 2009 Mark No comments

Acne Scars occur if an infection develops in acne and the skin heals itself enough to remain healthy but leaves pigmented and / or pitted marks on the skin, removing them is often both difficult and expensive to remove.

Many treatments for acne scars can be bought over the counter ranging from skin creams to micro needling. The most [regularly which can (but not always) be affective but take quite a while for the results to start to show as a big percentage of creams aren’t absorbed by the skin. Creams are, therefore, wasted and so are not economical.

Another treatment that can be used for acne scar removal is the dermaroller. This is a tool for micro-needling; you carefully roll the collagen roller over the scarred area of skin opening the pores of your top layer of skin (epidermis) making it believe that it is injured triggering the production of collagen and elastin which heals the skin over time.

After using the derma roller the pores on the epidermis remain open for as long as which is the best time to put on creams as they are much better absorbed when the pores are open as opposed to when the pores are closed. This reduces the waste in creams and heightens the effectiveness of the derma roller.

There are harsher ways to get rid of acne scars however the majority are costly and need to be carried out by professionals and then they’re not even guaranteed to work! These include; Micro dermabrasion, laser treatments, chemical peals and also skin needling can be done by a professional more vigorously using a longer needle size and numbing cream.

In my experience in acne scar removal I have found that the most result effective and cost effective treatment is derma rolling at home as it is relatively cheap and as it works by inducing the healing process is the most natural way to heal acne scars.

Please consult your doctor before undertaking any medical treatment.
