Don’t Be Caught Without a Renter’s Insurance Policy
Posted on May 9th, 2009 No commentsThere are a fair amount of insurance policies that a person can purchase and he or she would want to make sure that they are only paying for what they truly require. Many renters are under the false impression that a landlord’s home insurance policy covers their belongings. This in fact not the case. A person needs to carry a separate Renter’s Insurance Policy if they want coverage for their personal items in the event of a fire or other covered accident. The last thing that a renter would want to happen is to wrongly think they are covered after a loss and have absolutely no compensation available to them.
The circle of coverage can vary greatly from policy to policy and a renter would want to make sure they are getting appropriate coverage. The first thing to remember is that no two policies are ever the same and they should be considered with great care. For instance, almost any type of Renter’s Insurance Policy will have a limit on what they will pay for certain varieties of items. This usually includes limits on jewelry, electronics and art. Anything of value that is above and beyond the typical contents of a home needs to be reported and a rider will usually need to be added to the policy. The policy of Sgli will look nothing like that from State Farm and the differences can catch the uninformed person off guard.
A Renter’s Insurance Policy can be very cost-effective depending on how much coverage a person needs. Some policies can be as cheap as $15 a month if there is little investment to cover. Plans can get more expensive when including things such as business equipment or any type of aviation material. These will both likely need an extra rider that covers them specifically. Riders rarely add a significant cost to a policy as long as a person isn’t insuring some valuable material.
From the first day that a person moves into a new place they should contemplate having coverage in place. A Renter’s Insurance Policy will never be retroactive to cover a loss and should be completed immediately. It is really a small price to pay to remain well assured that your things are covered in a significant manner.

Make Your Wedding Ceremony More Personal With These Eight Creative Ideas
Posted on May 9th, 2009 No commentsIn present times, brides and grooms are steering clear of the traditional format of wedding ceremonies and are making their own versions of a wedding ceremony with their own personal touches. Though many couples are keen on making their ceremonies more personal, coming up with the ideas to actually go ahead and do it is easier said than done.
Some possible ideas:
Have friends and family do readings; this is an idea around for a long time, but more traditionally with bible or other ceremonial readings. More and more often, friends and family are learning poems or other more personal things than simply learning from the bible. You can ask your friend or family member to read something of your choice, or you can ask them to choose something themselves, which will be a surprise for you.
Custom-tailor your vows; this is also not such a new idea, but many people are still doing it. The idea behind this originally was to take out any vows that seemed old-fashioned, but the practice has taken on a whole new life and many brides and grooms are writing their vows entirely from scratch, from an entirely personal standpoint.
The bride and groom can also tell a fun story for the guests; for example, they can each prepare a short version of how they met and became a couple. In this format, the experience is not only fun for the guests, but also fun for the bride and groom to see how their stories differ. Alternatively, they can prepare something together.
Butterflies or doves; this practice has taken on new life in the current era where many people are marrying outside. The practice of setting butterflies or doves loose is a nice symbolic gesture; irregardless, it can be more challenging to execute perfectly.
Have the person marrying you be someone you understand; more and more often couples are choosing to have a friend or a family member marry them instead of holding a priest or a justice of the peace who they’ve never met before. Even if the person performing the ceremony doesn’t say anything special beyond the standard ceremony, it still feels warmer and more personal when you are standing there with a friend or a family member. You can also have him or her say a little something about your couple.
Make your own symbolic rituals; there are a lot of symbolic rituals in a lot of religious ceremonies, for example the unity candle in a Catholic ceremony or the breaking of a glass in a Jewish ceremony. If none of these traditional rituals appeal to you, start your own ritual. The idea behind making your ceremony more personal is to do it your way-so, anything goes!
Play your songs prior to the ceremony or at places within the ceremony. Almost everyone these days plays their song during the reception, usually their first dance, but you can also include your song(s) in the ceremony. Play a few special songs before the ceremony starts, or pick intervals in the ceremony where you can slip one of your favorites into the ceremony time.
Put a special poem on the wedding program; the program is another place where you can make your ceremony more personal. Especially if you are going to read a poem during the ceremony, it’s nice for the guests if you also put it on the program so that they can read it on paper while it’s being read. Placing it on the program also makes the wedding program a nicer keepsake for years afterwards.
Whatever you decide to do, don’t be afraid to make it personal. Your wedding is your special day, and there should be plenty of room within the format of the day to let yourselves express your feelings in a personal way.

Getting used items for less
Posted on May 9th, 2009 No commentsYet another list of really cool stuff that I managed to pick up on the cheap. I think most of you know about garage sales, but the great thing about the internet is that you can now use the internet to get really cheap things that you never thought you could find for that amazing price.
One of the really cool things I was able to pick up was a ps3. Getting a playstation on the cheap was something I never even saw coming but it was pretty sweet to find a ps3 for sale in a time when these things are so expensive people search all day online just to try to find a cheap playstation.
Other than the playstation, there are plenty of cheap things that you can pick up if you decide to go used. The thing about used or refurbished equipment is that you’re getting something in good working order but you’re losing most of the premium that stores pass on to you. So when young girl’s decide to grab a sewing machine they might be better off getting a refurbished sewing machine because in all ways they will be better off.
Lastly, the next best thing is for paintballing. I recently started playing in the summer and it was a blast. I’m so happy I started playing but luckily if you’re smart you’re going to search online for cheap paintball markers and you can easily find some cheap paintball gear which will be sweet for paintballing.
